DV 2012 Green card Visa lottery program is approved by the U.S Senate and operated by the U.S State department each year. The DV 2012 visa lottery program will issue 50,000 Immigrant visas to live and work in the USA to adjust the diversity of the people living in the USA.. This dv 2012 program will allow people with minimum required education level or accepted work experience and they must come from an eligible country as listed by the US State department.

The greencard lottery program will accept entries through the on line DV Lottery application form which will be available only in the American Government's official web site. This web site will accept eligible entries through the application form for a period given 60 days period.

The Opening and closing date of the US visa lottery will be announced by the State Department to the general public all over the world through the print and electronic media. Once the DV-2012 accepted all the eligible entries, computers in the KCC will select the winners in the random name selection and will notify them with case numbers and further instructions. The DV-2012 results will be sent from May to July 2011 through the regular postal mail.

All those DV lottery applicants can check their results online from July 2011 till June 2012.

The visa interviews and changing of status to LPR under the DV 2012 fiscal year program will start form 1st of October 2011 and will stop when the visas exhaust or till the visa lottery program closes officially on 30th September 2012.

In the application process those who want to apply can submit only one entry as primary applicant.

They must include one color photo as digital file of them self as instructed in the DV lottery instructions.

Married person must include their eligible children and spouse with their personal details and individual color digital photo files. They can be taken by digital camera or can scan a paper photo with a image scanner and make it as a digital photo file to submit.

On the day of the visa interview they must pay the visa fees and provide medical, police clearance and a USA sponsor. The visa fee is none refundable and for any given reason the visa is refused the visa fee will not be refunded back.

You can send your own entry as E-DV entry or some one else can apply for you. If some one else sends your entry for the DV2012 you will be responsible for the submitted details.

Winning the visa lottery will not give you the USA visa but will allow you to apply for it and you must proof your eligibility at the interview to get the visa.

DV2012 Green card visa lottery program will accept entries this year 2010.
