DV 2010 results are already sent to the selected people by normal postal mail to their addresses which were given by them in the E-DV application forms last year.

Those who were selected for the DV-2010 Visa Lottery by the computer random draw were notified by regular postal mail between the months of May and July 2009. Also the winners were provided with information on the related immigrant visa fees and how to proceed further with the processing. After entering the lottery if you have changed your address to a new one then you must check for the winning notification in the old address. E-mail, Telephone or Fax will not be used to announce the winners. If you get any notification through any of this way verify it with the authorities.. If you are selected for the program to process, you don't need to pay any money till you attend for the interview at the embassy or consular office.

Winners selected from the USA can contact the USCIS office to change their status.

As per the DV2010 instructions, those applicants who did successfully applied using the E-DV form will be able to check whether they are selected in the computer draw or not. When the applications are successfully accepted the computer screen will display the applicant’s name and confirmation number. With this confirmation number and applicant's personal detail, they can check online to see whether they are selected or not in the dv 2010 diversity visa lottery. This facility will be available online from July 1, 2009, until June 30, 2010. But, take note that who are not selected will not get any notifications by mail.
